Fjord Base

Delivery of ship waste

At Fjord Base, we facilitate the reception of ship waste, typically residual waste and other materials resulting from the vessel's operations. Delivery of ship waste must be reported via SafeSeaNet at least 24 hours before arrival. Information about the type of waste, quantity, and delivery plan must be provided. The base watch can also be contacted by phone at +47 91801041.

There is a distinction between "no special fee," where the fee covers the cost, and "special fee" for larger amounts, where a contractor is ordered to collect the waste at the designated quay. The "special fee" is covered by the vessel. The table below shows the waste categories we accept and the maximum amount of waste delivered under the "no special fee" category. The base watch will provide further instructions regarding the placement of containers and more.
