Our goal

Sustainable growth

Over several decades, we have developed extensive knowledge and expertise in logistics and operations for both customers and suppliers. This progress has been the result of hard work and continuous efforts to improve and create new solutions. With oil resources that won't last forever, Fjord Base, along with the rest of Norwegian society, faces a significant shift towards a more sustainable industry.

Our ambition is not only to maintain current jobs but also to create new ones through the opportunities provided by the green transition. In close collaboration with customers, suppliers, politicians, and local authorities, we will facilitate this transition. Our ability to innovate and determination to succeed will drive this work, ensuring we remain the preferred partner for other leading players in the green transition. This applies whether it involves green hydrogen production, ammonia, land-based aquaculture, offshore wind turbine assembly, circular value chains, or other future opportunities.

The safety and well-being of our employees, as well as the integrity of our operations, are our highest priorities. We believe that all accidents related to people, the environment, and assets can be prevented.

We are committed to preventing personal injuries, work-related illnesses, and major accidents. The goal of zero harm has become an integral part of how we think and work, with a strong focus on continuous improvement. An engaging and safe work environment is a prerequisite for efficient and sustainable operations.

Develop sustainable and robust solutions, including infrastructure and properties. Seek, facilitate, and promote technological development and circular solutions. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment. Focus on HSEQS (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security) in everything we do – we aim to become an HSEQS light house.

Environment

Norway's greenest supply base

Contribute to sustainable solutions and positive societal development by investing in green projects that promote the green transition and the shift towards a zero-emission society.

Work on our own climate footprint to become the greenest base by 2030 by developing a CO2 reduction plan. Build a culture focused on working more energy-efficiently and reducing energy demand. We aim to be certified in energy management (ISO 50001).

Prevent ocean pollution and do everything we can to minimize the consequences of emissions related to activities at the base.
